As I matured in my role as a professional athlete, I tried to prioritize my recovery as much as possible. I’m so proud to partner with a values-centric brand that’s redefining wellness. Tento não me julgar e, sim, me esforçar para aprender e evoluir.
#QueerFashion #WeddingReady #SoFancy #BeYourself #LoveYourself #NeverTooLate #EmbraceTheJourney #MentalHealthMonday And I felt so, so good about this one body I have and how I want to show up in the world. I consciously and deliberately reframed my mindset and changed my self-talk ? (an example: if clothes don’t fit me well, the problem is not in my body).Įnd result: a deconstructed tuxedo that allowed me to bring my whole self to celebrate two beautiful newlyweds and the joining of their families and cultures.
I asked for help from people I trust and with whom I can be vulnerable ?. But this time, I leaned into that discomfort in order to get to something different. Unfortunately, “getting fancy” usually meant putting myself in a box that didn’t quite feel right. Growing up queer ? (and taking a while to understand and embrace myself) and with a generally muscular body ?? (hellooo, not conforming to gender/feminine norms), I had a really hard time finding clothes that fit me well and that made me feel good. I’ll be real, I have a hard time with clothes.
